Michelle is passionate about helping children and youth experience the love of God in meaningful ways and feels a growing call to equip parents as they nurture faith at home. While she enjoys mission trips, retreats, and large group events, some of her most meaningful moments in ministry have come through quiet, one-on-one conversations that encourage and strengthen young people in their faith.
A graduate of Elon University with degrees in journalism and broadcast communications, Michelle spent many years as a newspaper reporter and public relations professional before moving into the nonprofit sector. She currently serves as Director of Communications for SAFE, a nonprofit that operates food pantries and resource centers throughout Alamance County.
Michelle and her husband, Chris, are the proud parents of their daughter, Ainsley, who attends Mercer University in Macon, Georgia. Outside of work and church, Michelle enjoys a good (or even mediocre!) latte, rewatching Gilmore Girls, and reading historical fiction. She looks forward to partnering with Brown's Chapel families as together they help children and youth grow in faith, build lasting relationships, and discover God's purpose for their lives.
